In the rural provinces of China, basket making was an ancient and humble craft, but in the hands of a skilled weaver a simple willow basket could become a truly beautiful work of art. That’s why those bentwood handles harvest baskets, made from woven reed, deserve a tribute in our nowadays interiors. Used as decorative objects, they can be used to store anything you want beautifully. We love them also with wild pampas or with dried flowers as they will enhance their natural and authentic beauty. They usually come in different sizes; some could have their border decorated with a fabric trim and others decorated with Chinese characters on the handles or on the body.
We always recommend to avoid direct contact with water and preferably to keep our baskets in well ventilated rooms in order to prevent them from getting mouldy.
